The Last Lighthouse Keeper available to watch online
We’ve made our short film, the Last Lighthouse Keeper, available to watch online here. Still to come is the 360 version that goes alongside it, which gives viewers a more immersive experience of the unique location, the LV21 lightship moored in the Thames at Gravesend.
Lucy Nordberg’s words take us on a journey through the life of the keeper and its wider significance, while actor John Locke gives an intimate narration to the audience. Marc Green’s direction leads us into the story while keeping the focus on John’s performance. Filmed last year, the subject of a character who leads much of his life in isolation has relevance to the lockdown situation of 2020.
There are a couple of edits left to do, but – mindful of the quote about a film never being finished but only abandoned – we decided to release online ahead of the final changes necessary for the big screen. Soon, we’ll plan a proper launch and entry into Festivals, in whatever form this may take given the on-going restrictions on public gatherings.
